Drawing upon a distinguished 31-year career in the United States Air Force, I bring a wealth of experience in team building, navigating complex challenges, and fostering collaboration, all honed during some of our Nation's most critical times. My ascent to Command Senior Enlisted Leader of the United States Transportation Command provided me with invaluable insights into the multifaceted challenges organizations face. Now, I channel this deep understanding to consult with business seeking to achieve their strategic objectives.
Throughout my time in uniform, I had the privilege of guiding leaders who, despite significant obstacles, achieved remarkable success. This firsthand experience solidified my conviction in the pivotal role of a robust organizational culture in overcoming adversity and driving performance.
Leveraging my extensive experience and training, I now focus on consulting and executive coaching, partnering with leaders and their teams to unlock their full potential. My approach centers on leadership development, strategic alignment, and fostering collaborative, high-performing teams to achieve tangible improvements in confidence, communication, performance, and productivity.
Outside of my professional endeavors, I embrace challenges with a similar dedication. Since retiring from the Air Force, I've pursued demanding outdoor adventures, including hiking thousands of miles and completing three of America's National Scenic Trails: the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail, the 486-mile Colorado Trail, and the 170-mile Tahoe Rim Trail. This commitment to pushing my own limits informs my approach to helping individuals and organizations reach theirs.
I share my insights and experiences from my five-month hike from Mexico to Canada in my book, Five Million Steps—Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail After Three Decades of Service to Our Nation, offering a unique perspective on perseverance and achieving ambitious goals.
